Project Overview

This comprehensive Cardano blockchain infrastructure project involved setting up and configuring a complete node solution with multiple integration layers. The implementation includes a full Cardano node connected to the mainnet, with Ogmios as a WebSocket API bridge, Blockfrost for enhanced API capabilities, and database synchronization using PostgreSQL and Redis for high-performance data access.

The solution was deployed on a custom OVH Virtual Private Server with enhanced security configurations, including firewall optimization, SSH hardening, and regular security updates. The server infrastructure was designed to ensure reliable operation of the node with minimal downtime, including monitoring systems and automated backups.

Setting up the Cardano node required careful configuration to optimize performance, including memory allocation, disk I/O tuning, and network settings. The integration with Ogmios provides a lightweight bridge that enables interaction with the Cardano node using WebSockets protocol, making it accessible for web applications and services requiring blockchain data.

The PostgreSQL database was configured to sync with the Cardano blockchain through cardano-db-sync, enabling complex queries against blockchain data. Redis was implemented as a caching layer to improve performance for frequently accessed data. This complete solution provides a foundation for developing Cardano-based applications with reliable blockchain access.
