# WARP

> Peer-to-peer file transfer that never touches a server. Pick a file, share a code, and your bytes stream device-to-device over an encrypted WebRTC channel — no uploads, no accounts, no size limits.

## Overview

WARP moves files directly between two devices without ever storing them in the cloud. When a sender and receiver connect, a WebRTC data channel opens between their browsers and the file streams across it in encrypted chunks — the bytes go straight from one machine to the other.

Transfers are end-to-end encrypted with AES-256-GCM and integrity-checked with SHA-256. Because nothing is uploaded to a server, there is no size cap, no account, and no retention: once the transfer finishes, no copy of the file exists anywhere but the two devices.

The only server-side component is a lightweight signalling layer to introduce the two peers, running on Cloudflare Pages and Workers at zero infrastructure cost. Everything else happens in the browser, on every platform.

## Features

- **True Peer-to-Peer**: Files stream device-to-device over WebRTC — no server ever touches your data
- **End-to-End Encrypted**: AES-256-GCM encryption with SHA-256 integrity checks on every chunk
- **No Size Limit**: Nothing is uploaded, so there's no cap on how large a transfer can be
- **No Account**: Share a code and go — no sign-up, no login, no tracking
- **Runs In The Browser**: Works on every platform with no install, powered entirely by web standards
- **Zero Infrastructure Cost**: Only a thin signalling layer on Cloudflare Pages + Workers, running at $0

## Technologies

TypeScript, WebRTC, Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare Workers, WebSockets, AES-256-GCM

## Process

- **Design** (1 week): Created wireframes and high-fidelity mockups for all pages and responsive breakpoints
- **Development** (2 weeks): Implemented the design using modern front-end technologies and best practices
- **Testing & Optimization** (1 week): Performed cross-browser testing and optimized for performance and accessibility
